How we check prices.

We check the prices the stores on our store list publish openly. For each one we note the store, a link to the product, the price shown, the currency, whether it says in stock, and when we last looked.

We’re a comparison site, not a shop — you can’t buy anything here. Every product page links out to the store itself, so you can check the final price, shipping, tax, size and availability before you buy.

An in-stock price is one the store said was available when we checked. Some stores are clear about stock, others aren’t, and a few never admit to being sold out at all. Things also sell out between our check and your visit, so the store’s own page always has the last word.

The main comparison only uses prices in Australian dollars, marked in stock, and matched to the same product in the same size. If at least two Australian stores tick all of that, the product is worth comparing.

Overseas prices show up separately, with a rough conversion to AUD. They never win the cheapest badge, because international shipping, GST and the currency you’re charged in can all change what you actually pay.

“Last checked” is the last time we looked at a price on that page. It isn’t a promise that nothing has changed since — prices and stock can move day to day.
